Andrew Godfrey is a PhD student in English at the University of Dundee and graduate of the university's MLitt Comic Studies program. His research focuses on the links between comics and performance within Graphic Medicine with a particular focus on liminality, the empty space, materiality, reader-response theory, humour & performativity. As part of his research he will be carrying out practical workshops and reading groups with members of the public where they will create, perform & discuss comics about their experiences of illness, disability & trauma. He also self-publishes comics about his experiences with the chronic illness Cystic Fibrosis, as well as collobrative comics on Borderline Personality Disorder with Emma Jeremie, under the name Sicker Than Thou.
